Rules & Requirements

We are looking for a story about how love conquers all - a true romance for all of us to enjoy. You may send in your own story or a story about someone you know.

The Rules

  • The couple must reside in the Charlottesville area.
  • The wedding package is offered for up to a maximum of 65 to 75 guests.
  • The couple must be willing to get married on November 5, 2010.
  • Couple must allow commercial and/or promotional use of videos and images.
  • Project participants reserve the right to use images for any purpose, commercially or editorially.
  • There is the likelihood that there will be media coverage and promotion of this event, so the couple must be comfortable with this dynamic.
  • Couple must be open to telling their story (for editorial use) before and after the event.
  • Liability waiver might be required.
  • Couple might (depending on religious or wedding-ceremonial requirements on their part) be responsible for securing their officiant for the event.
  • Rules and vendors are subject to change depending on scheduling/family conflicts among vendors. The CharlottesvillleFreeWeddingProject and its vendors reserve the right to alter the rules/specifications/requirements as needed.
  • A personal interview will be required when the selection process has been narrowed down to the final three couples.
  • The caterer will attempt to work with the couple on creating a personalized menu, but ultimately holds rights to select the final food and beverage options.
  • Direct relatives of project participants or vendors are not eligible.

  • A photo or two
